ATX TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR THIS YEAR’S 2015 FESTIVAL

Newly Added Panels Include a Farewell to FX’s Critically Acclaimed Series “Justified;” And the Addition of “Friends” Creator Marta Kauffman as a First Time Panelist A Special “Boy Meets Girl Meets World” Panel with Producers and Cast from Both the Past and New Series; USA’s Comedy Series “Playing House;” ABC Family’s “The Fosters;” A History of Comedy Central’s “Drunk History” with the Show’s Creators; A “Cancelled Too Soon” Panel with Graham Yost’s “Boomtown;” A Season Two Premiere of Starz’s “Power” Will Be Featured as a The Upcoming Fox Event Series “Wayward Pines;” Friday Night Marquee Screening, with Series Creator Courtney Kemp Agboh And Star Omari Hardwick in Attendance, Among Other Cast and Producers

Austin, TX – March 25, 2015 — ATX Television Festival announced additional programming for this year’s festival, which takes place in Austin, TX, June 4-7, 2015. Newly added panels include a farewell to FX’s critically acclaimed series “Justified;” a special “Boy Meets Girl Meets World” panel with producers and cast from both the past and new series; the upcoming Fox event series “Wayward Pines;” USA’s comedy series “Playing House;” ABC Family’s “The Fosters;” “Drunk History’s History,” a panel discussing the history of Comedy Central’s “Drunk History” with the show’s creators; a “cancelled too soon” panel for Graham Yost’s series “Boomtown;” and the addition of “Friends” creator Marta Kauffman as a panelist, for a special “Conversation with Marta Kauffman.”

In addition, ATX will host a season two premiere of Starz’s “Power” as the Friday Night Marquee Screening, with creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh and star Omari Hardwick, along with additional cast and producers from the series. ATX will host a farewell send-off of the critically acclaimed FX series “Justified,” with an in-depth look back on the series with creator and executive producer Graham Yost. “Justified” premiered on March 16, 2010, and after six incredible seasons, will air its final episode on April 14, 2015. Additional producers and cast will be announced at a later date.

Graham Yost will also be part of the festival’s “cancelled too soon” series with his show “Boomtown,” which aired from 2002-2003. In addition to Yost, the panel will feature executive producer Jon Avnet, producer Fred Golan, and cast members Neal McDonough, Mykelti Williamson, Nina Garbiras, Jason Gedrick and Gary Basaraba. “I had such a great time at ATX last year for the ‘Hey Dude’ 25th anniversary reunion, that I was eager to get back. This June, the whole cast of ‘Justified’ will be there to mark the end of the series, and I’m excited to reunite with cast and producers from ‘Boomtown,’ a show that will always be very near to the hearts of those of us lucky enough to have worked on it.” – Graham Yost, Creator of “Justified” and “Boomtown”

Michael Jacobs, creator of “Boy Meets World” and Disney’s “Girl Meets World,” is returning to ATX this year with cast members Ben Savage, Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard. The panel “Boy Meets Girl Meets World” will feature a wide-ranging discussion, which will delve into many facets of tween series, including the differences and challenges of creating a teen-focused show in the 1990s vs. 2010s.

ATX will premiere a new episode of upcoming event series “Wayward Pines,” which debuts May 14, 2015, on Fox, and host a panel discussion with executive producer Chad Hodge, who developed the series for television, cast members Carla Gugino and Reed Diamond, and executive producer Donald De Line.

USA’s comedy series “Playing House” will be featured at this year’s festival, with stars and co-
creators Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham in attendance.

ABC Family’s “The Fosters” will host a panel with creators Peter Paige (previously announced as part of the “Queer as Folk” reunion) and Brad Bredeweg, along with cast member Sherri Saum. Additional panelists will be announced at a later date.

The Festival will host “Drunk History’s History,” a panel discussing the history of Comedy Central’s “Drunk History” with creators and executive producers Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, which will explore the creation of the series on the web and its move to television, and feature new premiere content from the third season. Cast will be in attendance as well, and announced at a later date.

Marta Kauffman, creator of “Friends,” HBO’s “Dream On,” and new Netflix series “Grace and Frankie,” is confirmed to attend as a first time attendee. Kauffman co-created one of TV’s most iconic series, and will be part of a “Conversation with Marta Kauffman,” discussing her career from network, cable, and now streaming series.

A season two premiere of Starz’s “Power” will be featured as a Friday Night Marquee Screening, with creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh (“The Good Wife”) confirmed to attend, along with cast members Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora. Additional panelists will be announced at a future date.

These panels join the previously announced reunions for “Gilmore Girls,” “Queer as Folk,” “Journeyman,” and the “Dawson’s Creek” Writers Room Reunion at this year’s festival, along with panelists Beau Willimon (“House of Cards”), Phil Rosenthal (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) and Noah Hawley (“Fargo”).
